He studied Chemistry in Bonn and Würzburg, then received his doctorate in Biology in the field of plant physiology in 1996. This activity included the conception and execution of numerous scientific presentations, the planning of studies at external institutes and publications in international journals.
Since 2009, he has also been responsible for coordinating the sustainability program for the German headquarters. This started with an initial sustainability check and the preparation of a roadmap and a sustainability brochure, led, among other things, to a campus-wide CO2 balance, successful certification according to the ZNU Standard in 2017 and the implementation of follow-up audits until 2019. Most recently, he gained experience in the field of life cycle assessment of feminine hygiene products.
In addition, Dr. Hauser was an active member of the sustainability working group of the Markenverband and the scientific advisory board of NaTrue (international natural cosmetics association) for many years. He has a broad network of NGOs and associations in the field of health, hygiene and cosmetics.
