Vita
Since June 2017, Jona Nelson is responsible for the development and implementation of the ZNU Standard – driving sustainable change. His responsibilities also include the expansion of ZNU's digital services as well as advanced trainings. He was also responsible for the GIZ funded project "Self-Check Sustainable Supply Chains for SMEs".
Jona Nelson completed his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technical University of Berlin. Afterwards he went to the Bergische Universität Wuppertal to complete a master's degree in Sustainability Management. In his master's thesis, he compared the requirement catalogues of the four most important consumer certificates for coffee in Germany and developed a possibility for scoring/benchmarking individual sustainability labels.
Before joining ZNU, Jona Nelson worked as a student assistant at the German Institute for Economic Research, the German Development Institute and the Tropical Institute of the Cologne University of Technology.
