Together with Dr. Axel Kölle, Dr. Christian Geßner has been the founder and head of the Center for Sustainable Leadership at the Faculty of Economics at the Witten/Herdecke University since its foundation in spring 2009. In addition to the institute management, Christian Geßner is active in research, teaching, professional education and consulting. In summer 2011, together with Axel Kölle, he founded Fjol GmbH which supports companies in implementing sustainability in a well-founded and lively way. Christian Geßner studied Economics in Münster and Heidelberg and earned his doctorate in Business Administration in Hohenheim on the subject of "Corporate Sustainability Strategies". Christian Geßner is married and has two sons.
